Thousands of people from Mashhad, Neyshabur, Yazd, and ... took to the streets chanting ``Death to the dictator``, ``Death to Rouhani`` on December 28, 2017. Police attempted to disperse the demonstrators by throwing tear gas. However, the uprising spread to more than 140 cities in a very short period.
On December 29, the people of Kermanshah, Qom, Isfahan and other cities staged demonstrations. On December 30, students at the University of Tehran by chanting ``Reformist, Principled, the story is over`` announced the end of both factions of the regime. By direct firing at the demonstrators and massive arrest of 8000 people so far, the regime responded to the peaceful protests of people.
The arrestees have gone under brutal tortures; there is no information on whereabouts of a number of them. The names of 12 protesters who were arrested and then martyred under torture in prison are made public.
A number of protesters and demonstrators who were martyred.
Please help us complete the list, so their blood will not go in vain.
Iranian government should respect their people’s rights, including right to express themselves. The world is watching!
Iranians who have been suppressed for a long time now find their voice. The Iranian government is being tested by its people. We pray that freedom and human rights will be victorious this day.
As long as Donald Trump is the President of the United States and I am Vice President, the United States of America will not repeat the shameful mistake of our past when others stood by and ignored the heroic resistance of the Iranian people as they fought against their brutal regime
We will not remain silent as the Iranian dictatorship represses the basic rights of its citizens and will hold Iran’s leaders accountable for any violations.
The U.S. calls for release of all political prisoners in Iran. The United States calls for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Iran, including the victims of the most recent crackdown.
The U.S. stands with the brave protesters who yearn for freedom, peace and an end to corruption in Iran.
Important that we support the nonviolent protesters in Iran. This is the result of a regime more focused on propping up terrorist organizations than addressing the plight of its citizens.
The Iranian people especially the young are protesting for the freedom and future they deserve.
We call on the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to form a fact finding committee to investigate the situation of prisons and political prisoners in Iran, especially those arrested during the recent uprising and those who were killed while in detention.
I condemn all the violence that the Iranian authorities have committed in recent days against civilians expressing dissatisfaction with the regime.
A nationwide uprising that emerged in 142 cities across the country by the people
The brave youths of Iran created such scenes during the January uprising that will be remembered forever in Iran’s history.
Helping and contributing for the release of those arrested during the nationwide uprising, and revealing Iranian regime’s crimes is a national and humanitarian duty. Therefore, support us in this regard by any possible means.
