The demonstration began in Tehran on December 30th from Tehran University. University students, with their cries, put an end on the myth of moderation in the Velayat-e faqih system. They chanted, “Reformist, Principled All Over.” This motto quickly resonated in most of Iran’s cities.
Martyr Sinai Ganbari was a young boy and was 22, arrested during a national uprising and captured by torturers in Evin Prison. The government of Iran in the horror of the reaction of the people to this crime claimed that he had been in prison for suicide.
After mass arrests, families of detainees in Tehran gathered in front of Evin Prison.
